In relation to the death of a 21-year-old Staten Island man who was discovered with fatal gunshot wounds inside a car that wrecked in front of a Paterson, New Jersey, hospital last month, Passaic County officials have announced the arrest of a person.
According to a press statement from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Robert Davis, 43, of Paterson, has been charged with the Nov. 12 homicide that reportedly took place near Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
According to authorities, Davis was detained without incident on Monday and is charged with various offenses, including first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and multiple charges of possessing a firearm.
The identity of the Staten Islander, who was shot numerous times and was later declared dead at the scene, has not yet been made public.
According to a statement released by the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office at the time of the incident, a second person inside the car, a 27-year-old Paterson man who was also shot, got out and entered St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was admitted for treatment.
According to authorities, the inquiry is still continuing and active.
