New York’s Staten Island. Following a multi-vehicle collision that caused delays on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge heading toward Staten Island Monday morning, a patient was transported to the hospital.

According to an FDNY/EMS spokesperson, the collision occurred on the lower level of the span at 8:22 a.m., and one individual was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze with minor injuries.

According to the FDNY spokesperson, a second individual who had minor injuries refused on-scene medical assistance.
