N.J. representative offers unconfirmed explanation for mysterious drones

One congressman from New Jersey is asserting that the enigmatic drones that are circling the sky over New York and New Jersey are Iranian in origin, amid the flurry of hypotheses surrounding them.

The New York Post reported that Republican House Representative Jeff Van Drew, citing unnamed sources, asserted that the drones might very well be from Iran.

I’m going to be honest with you. These drones are part of a mothership that Iran launched. On a Fox News program, Van Drew said, “It’s off the East Coast of the United States of America.” I don’t say this lightly; these come from reliable sources.

Those high-ranking officials, whoever they may be, have not formally confirmed that Iran is using these drones, despite Van Drew’s membership on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

In actuality, there is absolutely no proof of who is piloting these drones.

Beginning in mid-November, the FBI is looking into the drone appearances in Staten Island and New Jersey. The rumor mill is still going strong since an explanation for the drones is still elusive, despite the involvement of other state and municipal agencies.

Some claim that these are spy drones from enemies abroad, similar to the Chinese spy balloon incident in 2023. Some believe these are the start of a new drone program by our military. Some even claimed that the group behind these enigmatic aircrafts was Men in Black, a 1997 movie.

In any case, the solution is still a mystery.

Several representatives from various government agencies and commercial companies, including the NFL, attended yesterday’s Homeland Security meeting on the mysterious drones, which was attended by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn).

A Reddit member wrote on Sunday that there are drones everywhere on Staten Island and that I’m now receiving Ring videos of a lot of them. No one is aware of what is happening. It’s incredible.

Law enforcement officials in New Jersey stated that residents are not in danger from the drones. However, according to Newsweek, Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando called them “nefarious in nature.”
