N.Y. Lottery: NYC player claims Cash4Life second prize of $1,000 a week for life

According to lottery authorities, a New York City lottery player who won a second-prize Cash4Life ticket has claimed $1,000 every week for the rest of their life.

For matching the first five numbers drawn in the Cash4Life game on July 13, 2024, Dan Azouri of Forest Hills, Queens, has earned a $1,000 A Week For Life second prize. The minimum payout for this second prize is guaranteed to be $1 million.

The winning ticket was bought at Forest Hills’ BNA Quick Stop, which is situated at 100-11 Queens Blvd.

After the necessary withholdings, Azouri chose to receive a single lump sum payment of $446,935.

That night, 13, 35, 36, 38, 49, and Cash Ball 2 were the winning numbers.

In the Cash4Life game, winning numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 60. A different field with numbers 1 through 4 is used to draw the cash ball. Match the six numbers on your ticket to the winning six-number combination that is drawn, which consists of five numbers plus the cash ball, to win the Cash4Life top prize.

The grand reward is a lifetime of $1,000 every day. At the winner’s election, it can be paid as a one-time lump sum payment or as a $365,000 annual annuity for the winner’s lifetime (minimum of 20 years). The lump sum payment is equivalent to the expected amount of money needed to buy the annuity.

Every day at around nine o’clock at night, the Cash4Life drawing is held.
