N.Y. Lottery: NYC player wins $29K with TAKE 5 jackpot prize

Recently, in New York City, a ticket valued almost $29,000 won the TAKE 5 jackpot.

One top-prize winning ticket, valued at $29,154, was sold for the Jan. 12 TAKE 5 evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The ticket was sold at Hauter Grocery, which is situated in Brooklyn at 1334 Broadway.

The numbers 7, 17, 20, 30, and 37 are the winning ones.

TAKE Five numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 39. The five numbers on your ticket must match the winning five-number combination selected in order to win the TAKE 5 jackpot. Each game costs $1 to play.

Twice a day at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m., the drawing is shown on television. To find out if they have the winning numbers for the respective midday or evening drawing, players who have both the midday and evening drawings on the same ticket must verify their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov.

There is a 1 in 575,757 chance of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot.
