Yesterday, a Brooklyn lottery player won a special midday drawing after someone selected a TAKE 5 midday top prize.
Just in time for the holidays, the winning ticket for $19,039 was sold at BayRidge Quickstop, located at 9116 3rd Ave.
TAKE Five numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 39. The five numbers on your ticket must match the winning five-number combination selected in order to win the TAKE 5 jackpot. Each game costs $1 to play.
Twice a day at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m., the drawing is shown on television. To find out if they have the winning numbers for the respective midday or evening drawing, players who have both the midday and evening drawings on the same ticket must verify their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov.
There is a 1 in 575,757 chance of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot.
