N.Y. state jobs: Apply to civil service positions across NYC

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.—The state of New York is looking to fill hundreds of important posts, from education directors to temporary seasonal work.

The application deadline is drawing near, even though many of the positions don’t require a competitive exam.
