NFL Draft 2025: Here’s where Giants are projected to draft after loss vs. Saints

Another week, another loss for the Giants.

They’re at least one step closer to the top pick, though.

After losing to the Saints at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, 14-11, the Giants are now 2-11. They have now lost eight straight games.

Let’s examine their positions in the 2025 NFL Draft order.

TankAThon claims that the Giants are now one spot ahead of themselves in the draft with the No. 2 pick. They emerged because the Raiders (2-11), who have a schedule advantage over the Giants, lost to the Buccaneers, while the Jaguars (3-10) defeated the Titans.

The Giants obviously would have liked to go up one spot and lose to the terrible Saints (5-8), but going up one spot puts them in a prime position to lose out on their difficult remaining schedule, which includes games against the Falcons, Ravens, Colts, and Eagles.

Given that the Jaguars and Raiders will play each other in two weeks, the Giants would at the very least secure the No. 2 choice in the draft if they were to lose out.

On paper, the Jaguars’ season-ending games against the Jets (3–9), Raiders, Titans (3–10), and Colts (6-7) should be a breeze. However, with Mac Jones as their starting quarterback, nothing is certain.

The Falcons (6-6), Jaguars, Saints, and Chargers (8-4) are the Raiders’ remaining opponents.

After their loss to Jacksonville, the Titans, who are in the running for the first choice and in need of a new quarterback, will play the Bengals (4-8), Colts, Jaguars, and Texans (8-5).

The season-ending games for the Browns (3–10), another team in need of a quarterback, are the Chiefs (11–1), Begnals, Dolphins (5-7), and Ravens.

The Giants don’t have to worry about the Patriots (3–10) as much because they have their franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, but they are still in the running for the first pick, even if they are on a bye this week.

The point is that, despite the fact that they face a lot of competition, the Giants are well-positioned to acquire a new quarterback in Cam Ward of Miami or Shedeur Sanders of Colorado.

Let’s see how everything turns out.
