NY weather: Be prepared for heavy snow in Sullivan County Sunday evening

At 5:39 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service reported that Sullivan County would get significant snowfall through 6:45 p.m.

“Over the next one to two hours, a band of heavy snow that is currently moving over Pike and Sullivan counties will continue to expand to the northeast. Two inches of snow per hour during these intense snow showers will reduce visibility to less than a quarter of an inch and create extremely hazardous driving conditions as the snow rapidly accumulates on the roads. The weather agency advises travelers to travel with great caution and to give themselves plenty of time to get to their destination.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
