NY weather: Be prepared for light accumulating snow in part of New York until early Tuesday morning

At 2:50 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a weather notice for Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Suffolk, and Nassau counties, predicting minor accumulation of snow through Tuesday at 5 a.m.

“A band of light snow is expected to hit the area Tuesday morning due to a fast-moving system. It is predicted that there will be a layer of snow accumulation of less than one inch. The recent cold weather will cause snow to blanket the roads, making travel conditions slick. Extra caution is advised for anyone who plans to travel on Tuesday early. With temperatures increasing into the middle and upper 30s in the afternoon, the snow accumulation will swiftly halt from late morning to midday, according to the weather service.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
