NY weather: Expect lake effect snow and showers in Tioga and Broome counties Wednesday morning

At 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said that Tioga and Broome counties would have lake effect snow and showers through 8 a.m.

Parts of Tioga and Broome County are still being affected by lake effect snow this morning. The morning commute along the Route 17 Corridor around Binghamton will be impacted by the possibility of a rapid half to an inch of snow through eight in the morning. If you are traveling, be ready for roads that are coated with snow, slick, and have less visibility. The weather agency advises being cautious and giving yourself more time to get to your destination.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
