NY weather: Expect light snow and freezing drizzle in New York Monday morning

At 6:45 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service published a forecast for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, and Ontario counties that called for light snow and freezing drizzle through 9 a.m.

Early this morning, parts of the Genesee Valley, western Finger Lakes, and the Buffalo and Rochester Metro regions will continue to experience a mixture of patchy freezing drizzle and very light snow. Although there won’t be much precipitation, some untreated parking lots, sidewalks, and roadways could get ice and slick. As colder air moves into the area, the patchy freezing drizzle should return to flurries and light snow by mid-morning, according to the weather service.
