NY weather: Herkimer and Hamilton counties under a wind advisory until Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Herkimer and Hamilton counties on Monday at 3:03 a.m., which was in effect from noon until Tuesday at 7 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful.
