NY weather: Look for heavy snow in New York Monday afternoon

At 1:29 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service reported that Chenango, Broome, and Delaware counties would get significant snowfall through 2:15 p.m.

“At 1:29 p.m., a band of heavy snow was near Afton, or 9 miles north of Deposit moving east at 30 MPH,” according to the weather service.

Sidney, Walton, Delhi, Sanford, Colchester, Meredith, Hamden, Masonville, Unadilla, and Afton are among the places affected by the alert. This comprises the highway exits between 9 and 11 and interstate 88 close to 7.

The weather service states that “in winter weather conditions, conditions can deteriorate rapidly.” Be ready for roads covered with ice or snow. To get to your destination, slow down and give yourself more time.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
