At 1:43 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement that will be in force for Clinton and Essex counties until 9 p.m.
“During the afternoon commute, there will be a snowstorm with some valley rain. There will be patches of freezing rain in some places that experience below-freezing temperatures. Travel will get slick due to this icy precipitation. The meteorological service warns that icy conditions might form tonight as temperatures continue to drop.
According to the weather service, “the evening commute is creating dangerous travel conditions.” Be careful if you have to travel.
