NY weather: Special weather statement affecting part of New York Monday morning

At 6:09 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement that would be in force until 9 a.m. for Orange, Rockland, Suffolk, Nassau, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens counties.

“Any untreated surfaces become icy and slick when temperatures are at or below freezing. The weather agency advises travelers to use caution, reduce speed, and allow additional time to get to their destination.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
