At 8:29 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement that will be in force until midnight on Monday for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, Suffolk, Nassau, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens counties.
“Until midnight, a mild wintry mix of snow, sleet, and intermittent freezing rain will spread over the area. Untreated roads and surfaces may turn icy as temperatures in much of the region are at or just below freezing. The weather agency advises travelers to use caution, reduce speed, and allow additional time to get to their destination.
United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
