NY weather: St. Lawrence and Franklin counties under a wind advisory until Friday morning

At 3:46 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for St. Lawrence and Franklin counties, which was in effect from 7 p.m. until Friday at 7 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
