NY weather update: Herkimer and Hamilton counties under a wind advisory until Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service issued an amended wind advisory for Herkimer and Hamilton counties on Monday at 2:59 p.m., which is in effect until Tuesday at 7 a.m.

In the words of the weather service, “Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful.
