The National Weather Service issued an updated lake effect snow warning for Oswego, Jefferson, and Lewis counties on Sunday at 5:08 a.m., which will remain in place until Monday at 6 a.m.
“Heavy lake effect snow,” the weather service reports. The most persistent lake snows accumulate 9 to 18 inches of snow. gusts of wind up to forty miles per hour.
“Travel will be very difficult,” the weather service warns. “Relatively narrow bands of heavy snow will fall. When traveling, be ready for quickly shifting visibility and road conditions.
