The National Weather Service updated their wind advisory for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess, and Washington counties on Wednesday at 10:33 a.m. It is valid for Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The forecast states that “west winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected.”
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
