NY weather update: Weather alert for snow in New York Monday evening

At 3:15 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued an updated weather notice for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Washington, Schenectady, and Warren counties, predicting snowfall through 6 p.m.

“This afternoon, there is widespread precipitation throughout the area. Parts of the Mohawk Valley, Glens Falls, and Saratoga Region into Washington County continue to experience temperatures that are just cold enough for sporadic precipitation or sleet into the afternoon. This might affect a portion of the evening commute because of the slick conditions on any untreated roads. The weather service advises traveling in these locations till this evening with caution.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
