“A lake effect snow band was visible around 6:40 p.m. along a line that ran from close to Northampton Beach Public Campground to close to Pownal. The weather service reports that the lake effect snow band was almost motionless.
The alert affects the following locations: Kings, Mount Pleasant, Malta, Greenfield, Hoosick, Lee, Pittstown, Easton, Stillwater, Mechanicville, Hoosick Falls, Ballston Spa, Grafton, Edinburg, Round Lake, Galway, Rock City Falls, Country Knolls, North Ballston Spa, and Saratoga Springs. Interstate 87 between exits 10 and 15 is included in this.
The weather service states that “in winter weather conditions, conditions can deteriorate rapidly.” Be ready for roads covered with ice or snow. To get to your destination, slow down and give yourself more time.
