NY weather update: Wind advisory affecting New York until Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for Yates, Seneca, Steuben, and Schuyler counties on Monday at 12:40 p.m., which will remain in force until Tuesday at 6 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds with gusts up to 50 mph are 20 to 30 mph.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. The weather agency says that there may be a few power disruptions and the possibility of tree branches being blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
