The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday that applies to Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Schenectady, Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, and Ulster counties and is in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition, the weather service states that “west winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
