NY weather update: Wind advisory issued for part of New York until Thursday night

At 10:21 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory that will be in force until 10 p.m. for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, Suffolk, Nassau, Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens counties.

With gusts reaching up to 55 mph, the weather service predicts “West winds 25 to 35 mph.”
