NY weather: Weather alert for heavy snow in Niagara and Orleans counties Tuesday afternoon

At 12:49 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported that Niagara and Orleans counties would get significant snowfall through 2:15 p.m.

“At 12:48 p.m., a band of heavy snow was along a line extending from north Buffalo to Clarence and moving north,” the meteorological service reported.

Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Lockport, Medina, Grand Island, Middleport, Sanborn, Ridgeway, Shelby, Cambria Center, Pendleton Center, Rapids, Gasport, Wolcottsville, and Millville are among the places affected by the alert.

“In winter weather conditions, conditions can rapidly deteriorate,” the weather service says. Be ready for roads covered with ice or snow. To get to your destination, slow down and give yourself more time.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
