At 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a weather notice for Herkimer, Hamilton, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Greene, and Ulster counties, predicting light snow and freezing drizzle through Monday at 1 a.m.
Between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., patchy light freezing drizzle will start to mix with the light snow west of Lake George and the Hudson River Valley. In some places, an extra layer of snow with a light glaze may be applied to the northern and eastern Catskills, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, west central Mohawk Valley, and western Adirondacks. Roads and surfaces that have not been treated will be slick. When driving overnight, use caution and reduce your speed, the weather agency advises.
United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
