At 2:58 p.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Clinton counties that would be in effect from Monday at 7 a.m. until Tuesday at 1 a.m.

According to the meteorological service, “Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
