NYC advances Pouch Camp acquisition, sights set on 34 acres of longtime Boy Scouts site

New York’s Staten Island. According to information obtained this week by the Advance/SILive.com, New York City officials are still working to purchase a historic Staten Island haven.

A Department of Parks and Recreation spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that the city’s proposal to buy 34 acres of the Boy Scout camp would be for a portion of Pouch Camp, which was announced in the City Record on Monday.
