New York’s Staten Island. Over the last 16 months, New York City officials have assisted in connecting benefit theft victims with $48 million in replacement cash, Mayor Eric Adams said Thursday.
Following the electronic theft of their Cash Assistance (CA) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, approximately 95,000 New Yorkers were linked to replacement monies.
