New York’s Staten Island. The public is being asked to help the NYPD find a person who is wanted in relation to a late-month robbery attempt in Rosebank.
On Friday, Nov. 29, at around 5:45 p.m., police received a report that an unidentified person had entered a business at 570 Tompkins Ave. and tried to leave the premises with hidden goods.
Market Fresh Supermarket can be found at the address that the police have provided.
The person allegedly shoved and hit a male employee, age 21, and another, age 27, in the head and face as they tried to retrieve the merchandise. According to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, the staff members were able to retrieve the product and received on-scene medical attention.
The person who was sought is characterized as a man with a light complexion and a thin build who escaped on foot in an unidentified direction. He was last spotted sporting gray sweatpants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and a black Nike baseball cap.
The wanted person’s surveillance photo was made public by the NYPD.
