New York’s Staten Island. The NYPD is requesting the public’s help in locating a person who is wanted for interrogation in relation to a grand larceny that took place in New Springville on New Year’s Day.
According to a statement issued by the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, the victim, who is 19 years old, discovered her wallet was missing inside a business at the Pergament Mall shopping center, which is located at 2795 Richmond Ave., on Wednesday, January 1, at around 5:15 p.m.
According to an NYPD official, the alleged incident happened inside a Stop & Shop grocery at the retail mall.
The victim discovered that her debit card had been fraudulently charged with about $350 later that same day. According to the spokesperson, an unnamed individual was later observed reportedly using the victim’s card at roughly four other businesses on the South Shore of the island.
