The NYPD is requesting the public’s help in identifying and tracking down a person who is wanted for interrogation in relation to a violent robbery that took place in Queens.
Police were notified that a 60-year-old woman was approached by an unknown person at the 36th Street train station shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, the person allegedly kicked the victim in the legs and back, forced her to the ground, and took her bag by force before from the scene in an unidentified direction.
According to authorities, the victim was taken in stable condition by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
The person being sought is described as a man with a light complexion and a medium build. According to authorities, he was last seen sporting a burgundy coat, gray shorts, black sneakers, a red and yellow scarf, and a blue beanie.
The NYPD made surveillance photos of the wanted person public.
