New York’s Staten Island. According to police, a man was hurt in the head during Monday morning rush hour in West Brighton after being hit by a car while crossing the street.
According to initial information given to a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, the pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 6:33 a.m. at Forest Avenue and Raymond Place.
According to the police spokeswoman, the preliminary investigation showed that a white Mazda SUV turning left from Forest Avenue onto Raymond Place struck a guy who was crossing the street in the crosswalk.
According to authorities, the male had a head injury and was transported by emergency medical services to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton.
The victim’s age and condition are yet unknown, according to authorities.
The Mazda’s driver stayed on the scene.
According to a source familiar with the investigation, no criminal activity is now suspected.
Manor Road and Raymond Place are prohibited from accessing Forest Avenue.
The Highway District Collision Investigation Squad of the New York Police Department is present.
