Overnight Huguenot fire draws massive FDNY response on Staten Island

New York’s Staten Island. A fire on the South Shore of Staten Island prompted the mobilization of 60 firefighters and 12 fire vehicles early on Sunday morning.

Firefighters from the FDNY responded to reports of a fire at 573 Sheldon Ave. in Huguenot at 3:32 a.m.

By 4:13 a.m., firefighters were working to confine and put out the fire, according to officials.

According to the FDNY, no injuries were recorded as a result of the event.
