New York’s Staten Island. The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) is expected to close streets without prior notice next week due to road repair scheduled for many Staten Island routes.
Monday, December 23, Tuesday, December 24, Thursday, December 26, and Friday, December 27 are the dates of the job. On Wednesday, December 25, Christmas Day, there won’t be any road construction or street closures.
Delays can also affect drivers. The DOT said there will be no milling or paving.
Call the Staten Island DOT office at 212-839-2395 or the city’s central complaint hotline at 311 to file a complaint or report a pothole or other street defect.
