Series of Robberies Plague Unionport Store, Suspects Remain at Large

A string of robberies has rattled a Unionport store, with the same group of suspects striking three times within a week, according to the NYPD. Surveillance footage released by authorities illustrates how the perpetrators gained entry to the store’s merchandise by scaling a plexiglass wall.

The first incident occurred on April 17, followed by subsequent robberies on April 20 and April 24, leaving the store reeling from the loss of over $5,000 worth of items. In two of the incidents, the suspects wielded firearms, heightening the gravity of the situation.

Despite the brazen nature of these crimes, no injuries were reported. However, the repeated targeting of the store underscores the urgent need for swift action to apprehend the perpetrators and prevent further harm to the community.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in identifying the suspects. Collaborative efforts between the police and the community are essential in bringing those responsible to justice and safeguarding local businesses from future threats.
