Source: Woman stabbed in Berry Houses on Staten Island knew her attacker

New York’s Staten Island. According to authorities, a 26-year-old woman who was stabbed at the Berry Houses in Dongan Hills on Wednesday is in stable condition.

A person with knowledge of the inquiry claims that the victim and suspect were acquainted before the alleged attack inside a building within the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) complex.

According to an NYPD spokesperson, the attack was reported at 30 Dongan Hills Ave. at approximately 2:46 p.m.

According to authorities, the suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach and chest with an unidentified instrument. She was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze by EMS in a stable condition.

According to police, the suspect was a dark-skinned man wearing a blue mask, black trousers, and a postal jacket. He ran off in an unidentified direction in a black BMW.

The police spokesperson stated that the investigation is still ongoing and that no arrests have been made.
