State Liquor Authority takes action against Staten Island deli after community outcry

New York’s Staten Island. The Advance/SILive.com has revealed that a Port Richmond deli was disciplined by the State Liquor Authority (SLA) after the community complained about public drinking and other practices.

According to a SLA spokesperson, the company was fined in July after the agency began disciplinary action against Corner Bagel & Deli, located at 760 Port Richmond Ave., in 2023 for allowing alcohol on the property. The SLA spokesperson stated that Advance/SILive.com would need to receive the information under the Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) and declined to immediately disclose details regarding the penalties imposed.
