Staten Island HS boys’ hoops (8 games): Alonzo Archbold posts another double-double during Curtis win; SP, Farrell lose

At the New York Invitational on Sunday at James Monroe High School in the Bronx, junior Alonzo Archbold maintained his dominance by recording another double-double to help Curtis defeat Adlai Stevenson 59-51 in a non-league game.

Archbold scored a season-high 25 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and blocked four more shots in the win over Stevenson. Archbold was fresh off a 20-point, 18-rebound, 6-block performance against Susan Wagner on Thursday. From the charity stripe, the 6-foot-8 forward went 11 for 13.
