Long before the PSAL 4A championship match against Erasmus Hall on Sunday, Nick Moukazis had shown Curtis head coach Peter Gambardella that he was dependable.

Still feeling the positive energy following Sunday’s 27-26 double-overtime victory that gave the Curtis program its record seventh PSAL top-tier city title, Gambardella stated on Thursday that “we always felt we had two great backs in Quadare (Gomez) and Nick.” Since they are both excellent with a variety of genres, we thought they were 1 and 1A.
