Staten Island HS football: Lavezzoli did it all in Sea’s championship win to become Player of the Week

Anthony Lavezzoli would still be a strong contender for this week’s Advance Performer of the Week award if he had only scored two of the biggest scores in St. Joseph by-the-Sea football history during last Friday’s CHSFL AA-I championship game.

In the first quarter, while the Vikes were lining up for an extra point, Sea’s place kick holder Lavezzoli called an audible. He sprinted in for the two-point convert after taking the snap and racing around the right side.
