With four Staten Island teams earning spots in the tournament, which begins on Saturday, it’s critical time for PSAL high school wrestling teams.

The 14-team 2A (top-tier) playoffs were open to Petrides (seeded first), Tottenville (No. 3), New Dorp (No. 4), and Susan Wagner (No. 11). Petrides and James Madison, who secured the second seed, will host the opening round, quarterfinals, and semifinals on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
