Petrides lost to James Madison 48-21 in Tuesday night’s PSAL 2A division playoff final at Hunter College, falling just shy of a title after confounding expectations throughout the season.
In its first season after being promoted from the 1A division, Petrides had an outstanding season and secured the top overall seed in the playoffs.
