STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Last Friday, Verde’s Pizza and Pasta House in Travis permanently closed. A Marshal’s Legal Possession Notice was affixed to the company’s metal gates by Wednesday morning.

The contract was canceled due to a dispute over a Buildings Department infraction, according to owner Sebastian Bongiovanni. This has nothing to do with money or rent, Bongiovanni wished to make clear to his supporters.
