Stop using these kitchen accessories immediately, says QVC; 1.1M items recalled

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, QVC is recalling 1.1 million pairs of Temp-tations Oven Gloves because they may not offer enough heat protection and could cause burns to consumers.

The Temp-tations Oven Gloves, which QVC sells in single pairs, sets of two, and sets with drying mats or trivets, are included in the recall. These gloves came in a wide range of hues, such as red, yellow, and blue. According to the safety commission, they also have prints of flowers and summer shells.

A label sewn to the inside of the gloves reads “Temp-tations” by Tara.

The recalled items are available in small and big sizes and are composed of cotton and elastane.

Of the 162 complaints of inadequate heat protection that QVC has received, 92 have included minor burns.

From August 2018 until August 2024, gloves were offered for sale on QVC.com, QVC broadcast programs, and QVC digital shopping platforms.

Customers are urged by the safety commission to cease using the gloves and request a refund from QVC.
