Taco Bell is adding an unusual item to its menu. How to order the limited-edition offering

New York’s Staten Island — Taco Bell is introducing a new menu item that puts a spin on a traditional drive-thru favorite, stepping outside of its cheesy gordita comfort zone: As on Thursday, all stores will serve Crispy Chicken Nuggets, which are coated with a mixture of bread crumbs and crunchy tortilla chips.

Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, stated in a news statement that the company, the creators of Nacho Fries, is well aware that reimagining an American staple with a Taco Bell twist is a duty we don’t take lightly. But it was time to demonstrate to the world how Taco Bell makes chicken nuggets—unexpected and unquestionably bold—in a world where chicken desires rule the day.

The nuggets, which are served in batches of five ($3.99) or ten ($6.99), are marinated in spicy jalape o buttermilk and come with three dipping sauces. The nugget’s spectacular debut also includes a partnership with Hidden Valley Ranch, a manufacturer of salad dressings.

In an effort to discover the ideal complimentary sauce, Taco Bell tested more than 100 sauces and created not one, but three mouthwatering dip combinations. The company announced the new Hidden Valley Fire Ranch Sauce in a news statement.

Along with the trademark Bell Sauce and the sweet and spicy Jalape o Honey Mustard, the unique sauce is one of three dip pairings. For optimal soaking, each flavor is supplied in specially designed dip cups.

On January 21, 2025, Taco Bell is offering a special promotion to commemorate the launch of this product: the first 20,000 Rewards Members who use a five-piece offer of crispy chicken nuggets will receive the items for just $1.
