This NYC agency will make on-the-spot job offers at upcoming hiring event

New York’s Staten Island — The New York City Administration of Children’s Services (ACS) may have a position for you if you’re looking for a new career and have a strong desire to work with young people.

A young person’s path could be positively impacted by your priceless life experiences, the group stated on its website. This is your opportunity to make a difference and give back to your community while serving as an advocate and role model for young people.

On Thursday, February 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., ACS will hold a hiring event to identify suitable applicants for this position. The job posting states that the agency is ready to make conditional employment offers and hiring choices right away.

Qualified pre-screened registrants who complete an online form will receive the address. Pre-registration must be completed by Monday, February 17, at the latest.

The following are prerequisites for the role:


  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and one year of full-time experience working directly with juveniles or young adults (ages 10-24).

  • An associate degree from an accredited college or completion of 60 semester credits of study at an accredited college.

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.

  • New York City residency is NOT required.

After five years, the initial income of $53,341 rises to almost $67,566. Eleven health plan options are available to employees, some of which have no deductibles or co-pays.
