This Staten Island migrant shelter will close in April

New York’s Staten Island — After two years of repeated pleas from elected authorities, one of the first migrant shelters to open on Staten Island will close in the upcoming months.

The Holiday Inn Express off Wild Avenue in Travis is one of 13 migrant shelters that will soon close, according to Mayor Eric Adams’ announcement on Friday.
